Certified Farmers' Markets are Health Department permitted food facilities and therefore dogs and other animal pets are restricted or not allowed. All conditionally exempt guide and service dogs must be under the strict activity and leash control of the disabled owner and actively performing the service to the disabled person for which it was trained.  California Health and Safety Code Section 114371 (b).  Fraudulent Service Dog misrepresentation is a crime punishable under California Penal Code 365.7.
